The election of the 2017-2019 EUCCC Nanjing Board was held last Tuesday, 18th April at the Shangri-La Hotel. For the next two years, the new Chair will be Mr. Bernhard Weber (from BSH Home Appliances Holding China Co. Ltd.), the Vice Chair will be Mr. Andrea Risch (from Fette Compacting China Co.,Ltd.) and the three members of the Board will be Mr. Markus Hermann (from BASF YPC Company Ltd), Mr. Frank Redecker (from Global Castings Xuzhou Co., Ltd) and Mr. Fons Lamboo (from Netherlands Business Support Office). The Chamber warmly invited the European business community in Nanjing to stay together as a block and face the opportunities and the risks of running their business in China (where “the biggest risk is if you miss out of China”) and also not to underestimate the innovation of Chinese companies. “Chinese companies are very interested in improving the quality of their employers and EUCCC Nanjing is going to provide more seminars as well as events online”.
At the end, Mr. Joerg Wuttke presented in detail the China Manufacturing 2025 Report. “China Manufacturing is big but not strong. Ten key sectors will include next generation IT, robotics, aerospace and aviation equipment, high-tech maritime engineering and advanced rail equipment”.
“Don`t underestimate the capability of China to change and don`t underestimate the possibility of EUCCC to influence this change,” Mr. Wuttke added.
