Education

Education is the foundation of tomorrow’s leaders, and we believe that by partnering with educational institutions at every level, including junior, middle, and high schools, as well as universities, we can help create a brighter future for all.

To this end, we have established a partnership with Gianni Rodari Middle School in Cappelle sul Tavo, Teramo University, to support junior and middle school students. In addition, we organize an annual competition, “The Italy that I Wish For,” that invites students in their final year of junior school to write an essay expressing their vision of a better Italy. The winners of this competition receive a scholarship that covers the cost of textbooks for their first year of high school.

Over the years, we have forged significant agreements with various educational institutions, including the Italian Università di Teramo, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University, Sichuan International Studies University – Department of Italian Language, and Nanjing Normal University – Department of Italian Language. These agreements serve to connect Chinese students with the Italian business community and provide them with valuable internship and employment opportunities.

We remain committed to supporting education at every level, and we are proud to partner with educational institutions to help foster the growth and development of future generations of leaders.

Student Exchange Program

  • Our firm has successfully established an exchange program between the Università di Teramo in Italy and the renowned Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. This program provides a unique opportunity for Italian and Chinese students to broaden their academic horizons and gain invaluable experience in a global context. We have also facilitated student and professor exchanges between the D’Annunzio University of Chieti in Pescara and the University of Yancheng in Jiangsu Province.
  • In addition to our efforts to promote educational cooperation and cultural exchange, we are proud to announce that D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel has awarded two deserving exchange students a scholarship. These students have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and leadership qualities, and we believe that this scholarship will further enhance their professional development.

University Course Program

  • Our firm is proud to present the course “Introduction to Italian Civil and Commercial Law,” consisting of 16 classes that provide credits and include special guests from Italian institutions and top managers of Italian firms.
  • D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel is offering scholarships to the best students of the course, along with the opportunity to intern in our firm. The main objective of these courses, scholarships, and internships is to strengthen the relationship between Italy and China. We believe that a better understanding of the legal framework of both countries can lead to increased cultural awareness.
  • We are dedicated to fostering a culture of mutual appreciation and understanding between nations, and we believe that this initiative will help us achieve our goal.

Children

We firmly believe that children are the key to the success of future generations. Therefore, at D’Andrea & Partners, we strive to remain closely connected with the most vulnerable members of society and assist the less fortunate to ensure that they have the same opportunities as others. As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child,” emphasizing the importance of community involvement in ensuring the well-being and success of all children, particularly those who are underprivileged.

To this end, we regularly donate to various NGOs that focus on enhancing the lives of children. Our contributions include supporting the Save the Children Organization, a global movement that strives to improve the lives of children by providing better education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts.

Moreover, we regularly make contributions to Heart to Heart, which is a special fund of the Ren De Foundation, a Shanghai-based charity that provides corrective surgery for Chinese children with congenital heart disease (CHD) whose parents cannot afford the surgery. We also support the Will Foundation, which aims to empower underprivileged children and youth through education.

In addition, our organization is committed to poverty alleviation, and we support charitable NGOs such as Save the Children and Medici Senza Frontiere (MSF) with periodic donations. Our efforts in this area are aimed at supporting sustainable development for the less fortunate members of society.

Fit Work Up for Charity

  • Health, wellness, and overall well-being are our goals. To achieve this, we participate in the Fit Work Up For Charity program on a daily basis throughout the year.
  • Under this program, our employees share a picture depicting their physical activity for the day. We collect EUR 1 for each picture submitted, with the aim of collecting EUR 4,000, which will be donated to the Heart To Heart foundation to fund a child’s heart surgery.
  • In order to reach our goal, we have introduced the 30*30 Challenge, which calls for our employees to share a picture proving their engagement in at least 1 hour of physical activity or taking a minimum of 12,000 steps in one day for 30 consecutive days.
  • At the end of the month, the employees who successfully qualify will have contributed EUR 400 to the Heart To Heart foundation!
  • We are committed to giving our best to create a better future for our children.

Environment

Our organization aligns with the E.U. and China’s objectives of reducing carbon emissions. The E.U. has set its sights on achieving peak carbonization by 2025 and carbon neutrality by 2050. Similarly, China aims to achieve peak carbonization by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. Our overarching environmental objective is to reduce our company’s carbon footprint to zero, whereas our short-term environmental objective is to participate in mitigating environmental issues such as air, water, and soil pollution through our daily operations.

To attain our goal, we have undertaken several measures such as offsetting our carbon emissions by planting trees, supporting the cleanup of oceans and beaches through Action for Blue, utilizing recyclable paper, harnessing solar energy when feasible, and minimizing waste generated in our offices across the globe. We are confident that we are making significant strides towards our objective.

Action for Blue

  • Our organization is committed to improving the cleanliness of our seas, and as such, we have enthusiastically embraced the “Action for Blue” program. This initiative is dedicated to cleaning our sea water and reducing pollution, which are critical goals that we are passionate about achieving.
  • To this end, all of our offices have been actively involved in cleaning our beaches and supporting associations that fight plastic pollution in our seas. It is worth noting that our seas and oceans represent the most extensive ecosystem on Earth, and their importance to all forms of life, including humans, cannot be overstated. Therefore, the pollution of plastic and other forms of human exploitation of our seas puts all life at risk.
  • Furthermore, our seas play a vital role in mitigating carbon emissions, as they absorb approximately one-quarter of all CO2 emitted into the atmosphere by human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation. In this regard, we have made a commitment to volunteer every September during the International Coastal Cleanup Day. During this event, every member of our group participates in cleaning up the coasts near Shanghai and collaborates with recycling brands to give new life to the waste by using all the collected plastic bottles.

Flora

  • Our firm has been committed to achieving carbon neutrality since its inception, with a particular focus on environmental sustainability as a European-driven enterprise. As a first step, we have established a program whereby a nominal amount is deducted from the salary of each employee, which the firm then doubles to fund the planting of trees to neutralize the carbon impact generated by the activities of our staff.
  • Moreover, our HR Department annually calculates the carbon footprint of each individual employee in detail with respect to their daily activities, including business travel, flights, trains, postal services, and car trips. Based on this assessment, we have developed stringent measures that all employees must adopt to help reduce their carbon footprint at work. The environmental impact of our efforts is also compensated by planting trees.
  • The firm has already taken substantial steps towards our environmental goals, having planted over 330 trees in Inner Mongolia to offset the carbon footprint of our employees at the Group level in 2020 and 2021 alone. Our commitment to this initiative will continue to grow over time.
  • In conclusion, we believe that we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors but are merely borrowing it from future generations. Therefore, we are committed to doing our utmost to protect the environment and promote sustainability.
