On the afternoon of September 24, 2026, the webinar “China, Italy, India, Vietnam: A Global Compliance Dialogue on Data Protection & AI,” jointly organized by D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel and PHC Advisory, was successfully held.
The event focused on the compliance challenges multinational companies face at the intersection of data protection and AI. It brought together legal and tax experts from China, Italy, India, and Vietnam to provide in-depth insights into legislative developments, enforcement priorities, and regulatory trends across these jurisdictions, offering companies a practical global compliance roadmap.
The webinar was moderated by Claudia Gao, Government Affairs Manager at DP Group. Aris Xie, Partner at D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, opened the session with a presentation on “China’s Cross-Border Data Frontier – PIPL Enforcement, Outbound Transfer Rules, and AI Governance,” sharing the latest regulatory practices in China’s data compliance landscape. Jun Jie Yang, Associate at D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, then spoke on “Doing Business in the EU – Data Protection & AI Compliance for Multinationals,” outlining the practical application of the EU GDPR and the AI Act. Bosky Gokani, Legal Advisor at D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, addressed “India’s New Data Protection Regime – Key Compliance Requirements for Foreign Businesses,” providing a systematic interpretation of India’s DPDPA. Salvatore Banco, Head of Ho Chi Minh City & South China Offices at D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, presented on “Vietnam’s New Digital Era – Personal Data Protection & AI,” introducing Vietnam’s PDPD regulatory framework and its practical implications. Devin Li, Deputy General Manager at PHC Advisory, shared an accounting and audit perspective on “Data Protection & AI,” discussing practical applications and risk considerations in corporate finance and tax management.
The panel discussion that followed was moderated by Veronica Gianola, Partner at D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel.
