HRs: CHANGES FOR MARRIAGE AND MATERNITY LEAVES

SHANGHAI – On January 1st 2016 modifications to the marriage and the maternity leave regimes came into force. If, previously, newlywed couples were entitled to enjoy up to 30 days leaves (depending on the single Province’s regulations), indeed, the new year has welcome a reduction of this period to a 3-days one (with exception to some SARs). Concerning the maternity leaves, instead, implementations were made so that those are now allowed also for couples giving birth to a second child – while previously the maternity leave was conceded only for the first born.

The mentioned changes represent key-points in the major reform operated by the Chinese Government in the family policy.
