On 22 May 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs officially issued Notice No.8664/TB-SNV, implemented a change in the method of returning administrative procedure results related to foreign employees. Under the Notice, the new procedure will be applied from 15 June 2026.

ELECTRONIC RESULTS DELIVERY
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs (“HCMC DOH”) will issue electronic results (instead of traditional paper documents) for the following procedures:
- Issuance, re-issuance, and renewal of work permits.
- Issuance, re-issuance, and renewal of work permit exemption confirmations.
LEGAL VALIDITY OF ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS
- This document is electronically signed by the authorized person and sealed digitally by the HCMC DOH.
- It carries full legal effect equivalent to the original paper version and will be provided to relevant authorities (including Tax Authorities, Customs, Police, Social Insurance, banks, etc.) for necessary coordination and procedures.

Receiving results:
- Applicants may access the National Public Service Portal: https://dichvucong.gov.vn.
- Search by application code, and download the electronic document for storage.
Verifying digital signatures:
- Enterprises may verify the validity of the digital signature at the National Digital Signature Verification Portal: https://neac.gov.vn
