Riccardo Verzella is an Italian-qualified lawyer with over ten years of experience in cross-border legal matters involving Europe and Asia. He is currently based in Mumbai, where he serves as Country Head India, leading the firm’s India practice and supporting international clients operating in India, as well as Indian clients in their overseas activities and investments.

Riccardo graduated with honors in Law from the University of Teramo (Italy) and was a visiting student at the Koguan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He later obtained an LL.M. in Business & Company Law from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. His practice focuses on Corporate and M&A, Foreign Direct Investment, corporate governance, labor and employment matters, and intellectual property, with a strong emphasis on multi-jurisdictional transactions and regulatory coordination between India, China, Italy, and Southeast Asia.

Riccardo joined D’Andrea & Partners in 2016 and has developed significant on-the-ground experience in Asia, having been based in Shanghai for several years before relocating to India. In addition to his legal practice, he has been a Lecturer of Italian Civil and Commercial Law at Nanjing University since 2021.
