Recently, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center, SHIAC) have successively announced the new Panel of Arbitrators for the 2026-2031 term, which officially came into effect on May 1, 2026, with a term of five years.
As a globally influential international commercial arbitration institution, CIETAC’s new panel consists of 2,308 arbitrators from 164 countries and regions, with foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan arbitrators accounting for 30%, leading the world in internationalization and professionalism.
SHIAC’s new panel comprises 1,844 arbitrators from 133 countries and regions, fully covering all member states of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and focusing on cutting-edge fields such as digital economy, aviation, data and finance. It is a core platform for serving Chinese enterprises’ overseas expansion and international economic and trade dispute resolution.
