On the morning of September 17, the 2025 5th Innovation Fair — Sino-European Business Development Conference officially kicked off at the Nanjing Urban Planning and Construction Exhibition Hall. This grand event not only gathered political and business representatives from home and abroad, but also held special commemorative significance for Carlo D’Andrea — this year marks the 20th anniversary of his arrival in China, and Nanjing was exactly the first stop of his journey in China 20 years ago. From his first encounter with Nanjing to his in-depth participation in the city’s cross-border cooperation, from witnessing the city’s development to promoting the connection of Sino-Italian resources with professional expertise, commemorating this milestone by attending this innovative cross-border conference now not only carries his deep affection for Nanjing, but also testifies to the cooperative journey of DP Group and Nanjing growing in step with each other and developing together.
In fact, whether it is the innovation fair and communication symposium on this occasion, or the steady advancement of previous cross-border projects, all are the results of long-term collaboration and mutual empowerment between DP Group and the Nanjing Municipal Government. Not long ago, Mr. Carlo D’Andrea and Mr. Matteo Zhi had made a special trip to Nanjing, holding productive discussions with Mr. Xu Feng, Vice Mayor of Nanjing, as well as relevant officials from the Foreign Affairs Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Investment Promotion, and Nanjing Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone, jointly facilitating the landing of a new major investment project. This project, the first successfully landed following the Nanjing-Milan activities earlier this year, has drawn strong attention and support from Nanjing.

Looking back to the beginning of this year, entrusted by the Nanjing Municipal Government, DP Group co-organized the “Nanjing–Milan Cooperation & Exchange Meeting” in Italy, building a high-level dialogue platform between Nanjing and Europe, and further strengthening China–Italy economic and investment exchanges. This meeting also laid the groundwork for the successful implementation of subsequent major investment projects.
