A Step Forward in Italian–Chinese Equestrian Cooperation
It was a great pleasure to witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Italian Equestrian Federation and the Jiangsu Provincial Equestrian Federation.
This important milestone marks the beginning of a deeper collaboration between Italy and China in the equestrian sector—spanning the exchange of live horses, as well as trainers, riders, blacksmiths and veterinarians. Our shared goal is to build a bridge not only in equestrian sports, but also to involve culture, fashion and craftsmanship related to the horse’s world.
During this fruitful visit, key institutional meetings took place, including:
A diplomatic meeting at the Chinese Embassy in Italy with Mrs. Luo, Minister Counsellor for Trade at the Chinese Embassy to inform her about the MOU and next steps;
A dialogue with the Director General of the Italian Ministry of Health to initiate discussions on veterinary and health standards for the international movement of horses between Italy and China.
This MoU is just the first step. We are now laying the groundwork for a bilateral agreement that could unlock millions of euros in trade and create new job opportunities in both countries.
We are proud to play a part in this visionary project that blends sport, diplomacy, and sustainable economic development.
Together, we ride toward a future of shared growth and mutual respect.
